Lighting the Way for Inclusion and Opportunity
On March 21, 2024, we had the privilege of welcoming five exceptional students from the MARGARITA Vocational Training Center (VTC), along with their companions, to our premises. This visit reflects our ongoing commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering professional development.
MARGARITA VTC’s mission to support individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders continues to inspire us. By providing professional skills training, they empower their students to overcome workplace and societal challenges, creating opportunities for inclusion and personal growth.
During their visit, the students experienced a real working environment by shadowing various roles within our company. They gained practical skills and valuable insights by collaborating with our dedicated team members across multiple departments.
Our goal is to equip these aspiring professionals with the knowledge and confidence they need to achieve their career ambitions. This initiative exemplifies the core values of our Together for Good program, which focuses on fostering talent, inclusion, and meaningful connections within our community.
As a proud partner of MARGARITA, we recognize the importance of collaboration in driving positive change. Last year, we supported their mission by donating an educational platform featuring kinesthetic games and organizing a work-shadowing day to introduce participants to the shipping industry. These efforts reflect our shared commitment to creating opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
This year, we took an important step forward. Our company proudly employed a graduate of the MARGARITA program, reinforcing our dedication to building an inclusive workplace. To ensure a supportive environment, we provided our workforce with training sessions aimed at enhancing their understanding of neurodevelopmental disorders and fostering awareness of these critical issues.
